Amina is a traditional qabla from a small village in the North of Morocco and has 8 children (2 passed away). Her mother in law was a traditional midwife and she home birthed all her children at home without any complications. She also learned from the traditional midwife that supported her at her own births.
Amina was also the birth attendant at the numerous births of her grandchildren, supporting them in pregnancy, labour, birth and the postpartum period.
Amina's own daughter, Nabila, could also be considered a traditional midwife herself, as all the knowledge, traditions and wisdom from pregnancy to the postpartum have been passed down to her and practiced by her as well.
